Late last year I did a keynote for MS at their Connecting Communities one-dayer in Aucklamnd. Apart from learning again the lesson that you should only have ONE version of your pressie on the thumb drive, I think it went down pretty well.

A nice talk; I enjoyed it. It reminds me of the way we have to get things done in the teaching profession here in the US. And your point about gatekeepers is right on. They are often not very prominent in the organization, but you ignore them at your peril.
