Amen brother! That is pretty much what we are seeing here in Oregon. Some big lumber and paper mills have gone under in the last year or so. Most of the population is just hunkering down and trying to save a couple of pennies. The government keeps trying to talk about lots of green jobs in our future, but they have short-changed education for so many years that our workforce is not competitive.

I do worry what will happen when the fancy-fingered financial flim-flam artists can no longer get enough cash flow to maintain their lifestyles. Things could get a bit messy.
